Originally this was two songs, but they blended together with insane loud guitar solos (Ganton shines) and an assist on the keys to bring a touch of that Abbey Road quality that was intended. Logans song writing and craft continues to grow, and his lack of a genre allows him to pull influence and creativity from any and all avenues.
lyrics
Ever present, never clear
At times fluorescent, never really here.
Sometimes down, never out
She holds the Faith, she is devout.
Flies at night, plays safe at day
Sometimes childish, never frayed.
She works real hard, but she’s no slave
A love like this just can’t decay,
Chorus
Trust in me and you will see
The planets line, and in the sea
Beautiful angels, no not dead
Alive and well with spirits rest
She runs her mouth from time to time
But without her no sun would shine.
Beautiful aquatic, fortress strong
Mountain high, Valley long.
Knife in the dark, to your heart
Warm blast of wind derails with her mark
Unsurveyed waters we have no charts
The same could be said of our hearts
Chorus
Do you remember
When you were young
Nothing seemed to matter
Life was so fun
You had a vision
She’d be your wife
That false promise
Has haunted your whole life
(New Chorus)
Didn’t it feel so good?
Feel just like it should
Waking up next to her
Didn’t the world feel so secure?
Now your hearts hollow
Riddled with pain
Bullets through it’s shattered glass
The source of your disdain
The pieces fall broken
You dare not say her name
The scarlet who left you
Crippled, bound in chains
(New Chorus)
Didn’t it feel so good?
Feel just like it should
When you were lying right next to her
Didn’t your world feel so secure?
When a woman turns
It’s always for the worse
That red lipstick
Fades from pleasure to curse
So now you tighten your boot straps
Whiskey won’t cure the thirst
Your suit is starched, your hair is combed
Time for your second birth.
(New Chorus)
